UV6 – Knife Defences – Understanding range – b1) and b2)

The attacker must take one step forward to be able to attack:

(Against a downards knife attack): b1a) – 360° defence and simultaneous piston punch – options are : no movement with the feet, stepping forward with the foot opposite the knife or stepping forward with the foot on the same side as the knife.

b1b) – 360° defence followed by a slight step back with the opposite foot and then a strike to the groin with the lead foot

b1c) – Front kick to the solar plexus with the foot opposite the knife

(Against an upwards knife attack) b2a) – 360° defence and simultaneous piston punch stepping forward with the foot opposite the knife

b2b) – 360° defence followed by a small step back with the foot on the same side as the knife then a kick to the groin with the other

b2c) – Front kick to the solar plexus with the foot opposite the knife
